Camelon Juniors FC are sad to announce the passing of committee member Robin Hulett who died this evening after battling illness for some time.
Robin had been on the committee for 3 years but had been a fan for much longer. He would spend hours at Carmuirs Park helping to get it ready for matches, whatever work needed doing. To prove that, here’s a link to a video of him pumping out the water from the top of the park (facebook link).
Robin was well known for his colourful language from the terraces and would not hold back in telling the players how they were playing during a match – such was his passion for the club.
Latterly, he was responsible for the hospitality and enjoyed playing host from behind the bar. He was often assisted in the hospitality by his son-in-law Sinclair and grandson Grant who came to all the games.
As a mark of respect, we will hold a minutes silence before the game on Saturday, our flag will be at half mast and our players will wear black arm bands.
Our thoughts are with his wife Janette and all the family.
