Youth Development supporting the First Team

This Saturday, 27 April, is Camelon Juniors last league game of their first season in the East of Scotland Football League. The match is taking place at Carmuirs Park and will be a 2:30pm kick off against Craigroyston.

Whilst there are still two cup competitions to play for (Football Nation Cup and League Cup) which will include some home games, we wanted to celebrate this special occasion at the end of an exciting league season. We could think of no better way to do this than to also celebrate the amazing development we’ve seen in our Youth teams.

So this Saturday, all the Childrens’ and Youth teams will be represented at the match and will provide a guard of honour for the first team coming out to start the game. Then at half time, you can watch the younger children in action with a skills demonstration and the Youths will take a lap of honour.

We’d love for as many fans as possible – new and existing – to come along and enjoy the game as well. Gates open at 1:30pm and as usual, our pie hut will provide a range of food, drink and snacks throughout the afternoon. Entry is £6 for adults, £3 for concessions and accompanied under 16s get in for free.

Come and get behind your local team and enjoy a celebration of the CJFC family.

CJFC u20s partner with Pitreavie Pumas

Camelon u20s are excited to announce a new partnership with Pitreavie Pumas u17s who play in the Fife Development league. Agreement has been reached for the Pumas to become a feeder club for our under 20s.

The new relationship between the two teams is fully under way with integration at training, plus some of the Pumas players have represented Camelon u20s in various league games over the past month. Worthy of note was their inclusion in our 11:1 home win against Newtongrange, when Pumas Gregg Clarke scored and Robbie Woodend made his debut with a solid performance.

The move by Camelon Juniors into the East of Scotland Football League has opened up many new opportunities.
