Alex Jack Cup Presentation

Following the well documented issues around the Cup Final that never happened (that we won’t go into again here!), on Saturday we were presented with the Alex Jack Cup.  Whilst it wasn’t the way we wanted to win, it didn’t dampen our celebrations.  For the record, our route to the final, after a first round bye, took us past Sauchie, Dalkeith Thistle, and Broxburn Athletic.

So, following our league win over Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts, the Alex Jack Cup was presented by Andrew Renwick and Ian Jack to our Captain, Don Morrison.

While being cheered by the rest of the team, Don lifted the trophy high infront of the waiting crowd while Kieran Anderson, fresh from scoring four times in the match, cracked open the celebratory bottle of champagne.

They then gathered as one team in front of the fans to pose for a history making team photo.

Everyone then took their turn to pose with the photo for their own social media etc but we’ll leave this post with the people who have made this all happen.  Firstly the management team that helped shape these players into what they are now – Gordon Herd, Eamon Fullerton and John Miller, then the very serious looking committee (they are happy, honest!), who have brought vision and resources to push the club onwards – Eric Henry, Tony Smith, Allan Morrison, Gary Clark and Paul Cosgrove.

Celebrating our under 16s team

Our under 16s team finished their season by playing at Carmuirs Park today and celebrated with a 4-3 win against Cowie.  This capped off a strong season from the lads under the guidance of Graham McKinnon, Jeff Stewart and Jimmy Wilson.  Well done to all involved in this team.

After the match, the team gathered in the Social Club to celebrate their season and to present trophies to both the Committee and Players player of the year.

This season, the committee voted for Connor Wilson, and the players voted for Kai Wilson.

Both are pictured below, receiving their trophies from First Team manager Gordon Herd.
