Everyone at Camelon Juniors Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former player, board member and friend of the club, Robert Marshall.

Robert had a long-standing connection with Camelon, having represented the Mariners as a player before going on to become a great friend and supporter of the club.

Through the business he built, RJM Sports, Robert continued that relationship for many years, with RJM proudly supplying the club and supporting Camelon both on and off the pitch.

Director of Football Steven Allison lead the club’s tributes:

“Robert was genuinely one of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Robert. Whether it was football, business or simply helping someone out, he was always there.

“He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word and will be sorely missed by so many people, particularly throughout the football community, where he made countless friends over the years.”

Everyone at Camelon Juniors sends our love and deepest condolences to Robert’s wife Janet, son Grant, daughter Nicola, his wider family, friends and everyone at RJM Sports at this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Robert. You will be greatly missed.

Camelon Juniors are absolutely delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Robbie Hamilton, who joins the Mariners from Broxburn Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

This is a fantastic addition to the squad, with Robbie bringing a wealth of experience from playing at a higher level. As well as representing Broxburn Athletic in the Lowland League, Robbie has previously played for East Fife in the SPFL and came through the youth system at Hibernian, where he also gained first-team experience.

Director of Football Steven Allison said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to get this one over the line. It’s one that myself and the gaffer have been working hard on for a few weeks now, so to finally get it completed is extremely pleasing.

“Robbie brings real quality and experience to the club. He’s played at a very good level and we believe he can be a massive player for us as we continue to push the club forward.”

The gaffer added:

“I’m absolutely delighted to bring Robbie to the club. He’ll be a very important part of the squad moving forward in what we hope will be a very successful season.

“He’s a very experienced player who knows this level of football well. Our job now is to get him back enjoying his football and playing with a smile on his face. I can’t wait to start working with him.”

Camelon Juniors are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young attacking-minded player Thierry Tawanda.

Thierry comes to the Mariners after catching the eye while playing against us for Livingston United on Saturday, and the club have moved quickly to secure his signature.

Director of Football Steven Allison said:

“I watched Thierry play on Saturday and he really got me excited. He’s a young player with plenty of potential, and I’m very keen to see how we can work with him, coach him and help him develop.

“I’m really interested to see what the future holds for Thierry. He will undoubtedly go back out on loan to a club below our level to gain much-needed experience playing regular men’s football, which will be hugely important for his development.

“He’s certainly one to watch for the future, and we’re delighted to have him at Camelon.”
