Under 20s News

The committee have been working away behind the scenes over recent weeks to sign and re-sign numerous players for our u20s Development Squad. Here’s information on just some of those players:

Kai Wilson: Kai is a product of our U17s team from the 2018/19 season and was a stand out player who has now progressed to our U20s as an indication of our youth pathway.

Paul McIntyre: Paul has re-signed from our U20s last season were he was team Captain. It is great to retain a player who also progressed from our U19s team in 2017/18.

Lewis Croy: Lewis has also re-signed from our U20s last season and has another 2 years at this level. He is another player progressing through our youth pathway from the U17s in 2017/18.

Keir Young: Keir has also re-signed from our U20s last season and is another player to benefit from our player pathway having played with our U19s in 2017/18. Keir has also had the opportunity to play with our first team on a couple of occasions.

Gregg Clarke: Gregg came from Pitreavie Pumas with whom our U20s have developed close ties with since last season. He has shown that opportunities to progress are there for boys outwith the Camelon pathway.

There are other players that will feature in due course but these are just some of the rising stars that we’re pleased to have the signature of as part of the CJFC family.

CJFC u20s Signing News – Gregg Clarke

Thanks to our partnership with Pitreavie Pumas, CJFC u20s are pleased to announce the signing of Gregg Clarke.

Gregg has been a stand out player in his training and game time with the u20s, and we were delighted to offer him the chance to move from Pitreavie Pumas to further his development.

This is a great advert for the CJFC Player Pathway and of working with like minded clubs.

We would like to thank Pitreavie and Paul Baxter for his involvement and drive to develop his boys and give them every opportunity to progress.

Welcome to the CJFC family Gregg

CJFC u20s partner with Pitreavie Pumas

Camelon u20s are excited to announce a new partnership with Pitreavie Pumas u17s who play in the Fife Development league. Agreement has been reached for the Pumas to become a feeder club for our under 20s.

The new relationship between the two teams is fully under way with integration at training, plus some of the Pumas players have represented Camelon u20s in various league games over the past month. Worthy of note was their inclusion in our 11:1 home win against Newtongrange, when Pumas Gregg Clarke scored and Robbie Woodend made his debut with a solid performance.

Both sets of coaches are fully committed to the development of the young Pumas along with the development of Camelon u20s.

The move by Camelon Juniors into the East of Scotland Football League has opened up many new opportunities. Exciting times lie ahead with the Scottish Cup and East of Scotland Premiership next season, plus the fantastic opportunity to play in the u20s League, which is by far the highest standard of Development League for teams within the Central belt.

Announcing this exciting news, u20s Team Secretary, Allan Morrison said “relationships between clubs like this open up fantastic opportunities and new pathways for the development of young players. As well as forming a strong under 20s team, our objective is to get as many of the players into senior football in and around the fantastic East of Scotland Football League.”

Welcome Petreavie Pumas to the CJFC family of teams!
