Fixture Update

We received today the latest fixtures to take us to the end of the season. This sorts out recently postponed games and confirms dates for cup ties but obviously there’s still a few unknowns around cup fixtures. As always though, keep an eye on social media and on our dedicated fixture page at www.camelonjuniors.co.uk/firstteam-fixtures/

u20s Player News – Keir Young

Camelon Juniors Under 20s can announce that Keir Young has been released on a development loan to Oakley for the rest of the season.

Keir has been at Camelon Juniors for the past 3 years and is now on his last season with the u20s, so as part of the CAS exit strategy we are pleased to give him full support into Senior football.

In recent months, Camelon Juniors FC have been assessed against the Entry level criteria of the SFA Club Licence, as part of the club’s application to become a member of the Scottish FA. The club are delighted to say that today we passed the audit, with the Licensing Committee confirming that we meet all the necessary requirements.

Club Secretary Tony Smith commented: “On behalf of the committee, we’d like to express our sincere thanks to all the people who have worked incredibly hard over the last two years to make our vision a reality. This achievement is down to the determination of people who love their club. With sponsors, fans, committee members, local businesses and our management team all pushing in the same direction, we’ve achieved something that previously seemed impossible. I can’t begin to say how proud I am of the club and everyone who has taken part in this massive project”

This has probably been the biggest team effort in 25 years – maybe even in the Clubs history – and is a huge achievement for this community focused club. This is a huge boost as Camelon Juniors FC will now celebrate its centenary next season with the addition of a Scottish Cup place.

Under 20s Signing – Cole Cattanach

Camelon Juniors Under 20s Development Squad are pleased to announce the signing of defender Cole Cattanach on loan from Syngenta Juniors.

Cole plays centre back and will make a valuable addition to the squad for the rest of the season.

Our thanks to all at Syngenta for their help in securing Cole his development loan.

Player Contract News – Don Morrison

Camelon Juniors FC are pleased to announce that 30 year old central defender, and club captain, Don Morrison, has extended his contract with us, ensuring that he will be at the club until at least 2021.

Don is a strong and steady force in the centre of defence and leads the squad on the field with determination and encouragement.  As well as playing the supporting role, Don has also managed to score this season and is often in the hunt for more.

New Signing – Kieran Boubekri

Camelon Juniors FC are delighted to welcome 20 year old forward Kieran Boubekri to the club. Kieran joins us on loan to the end of the season from Livingston.

Kieran has been in prolific goal scoring form for Livingston reserves and has had interest from several clubs.

Manager Gordon Herd said “the whole management team are delighted to get Kieran to Camelon. He adds a different type of dimension to the squad now and we’re excited to see what he’ll bring to the team. I’m grateful to everyone at Livingston for helping get this deal completed in time for Saturday.”

We’re delighted that, with help from all at Livingston, Kieran has picked Camelon to be his new home. Welcome to the mighty Mariners Kieran!

Player Contract News – Connor McMullan

Camelon Juniors FC are pleased to announce that 21 year old midfielder Connor McMullan has extended his contract with us, ensuring that he will be at the club until at least 2021.

Connor is a versatile player, providing options in many positions across the park. He has scored 2 friendly, 3 cup and 4 league goals so far this season.

Player Contract News – Jordan Herron

Camelon Juniors FC are pleased to announce that 23 year old midfielder Jordan Herron has extended his contract with us, ensuring that he will be at the club until at least 2021.

Jordan is a valuable part of the team providing a strong presence in the middle of the park. He has also scored 1 cup and 3 league goals so far this season.

Under 20s Contract News – Liam Johnston

Camelon Juniors Under 20s are pleased to announce that forward Liam Johnston has extended his contract with the club. This ensures he will be with the club until at least 2021.

Liam celebrated his new contract by playing with the first team yesterday evening in a bounce match against Linlithgow Rose. Not only that, he netted his first senior goal as well.
